I think they recommend starting around week 18-20, when the baby's hearing is more developed. Starting too early wouldn't really make a difference.

I looked at both too. BabyPlus is more of an 'education' system with specific sounds and rhythms, while BellyBuds is more for playing whatever music you want. Depends on what you're trying to do.
